Future Jobs Apprenticeship Ambassadors Scheme
C&K Careers are pleased to be working in partnership with local businesses to create a network of Apprenticeship Ambassadors working in Advanced Manufacturing-related jobs. Current or recently qualified Fashion and Textile Apprentices and Storage and Warehouse Apprentices trained through the Textile Centre of Excellence are eligible to join this free scheme.

Development for your Apprentices
The Apprenticeship Ambassador Scheme is for current or recently qualified Apprentices. Becoming an Ambassador will highlight their own achievements as well as continuing their professional development by learning new skills and undertaking new activities outside of their comfort zone like the Future Jobs Events. They will also attend accredited communication skills training.

Speaking about the training one Apprentice Ambassador said “It was a brilliant experience and I’ll definitely never forget it. He’s made me realise I don’t have to fear talking about something I know”.

Another Ambassador, Danya (above) talking to a group of Year 12 students at a Future Jobs event. Danya said “I loved working with C&K careers as an Ambassador. It has helped me build confidence within myself. Thank you for the opportunity”

Benefits to your business
Ambassadors will be encouraged to get involved in a Future Jobs event in a local school, sixth form or college. At these events they will be talking to students in full time education about what they do and their experiences. This will raise awareness of the industry they work in, the company they work for, the apprenticeship scheme they are on, and Apprenticeships as a viable career option.
They may be talking to a group of students that includes your next Apprentice!

Benefits to the schools and the students
Developing links between local schools with local employers helps enrich students’ awareness and understanding about the world of work and employers expectations of young people. Apprentice Ambassadors can inspire other students to consider options they hadn’t done before. It’s also great for schools to see former students returning and they can see how that student has progressed, matured and developed as an Apprentice.
