Target Audience & Prerequisites
This 3 hour course is suitable for first aiders who hold a current Emergency First Aid or Full First Aid at Work certificate. It is aimed at providing first aiders with an update on first aid regulations during the 3 year certification period.
Please note – This half day course is not aimed at those who need to renew at the end of the 3 year period. If you have a first aid certificate that is due to expire then you need to attend the 2 day Refresher First Aid course.
The provision of first aid at work is in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The contents of the course comply with Health & Safety Executive requirements and the Textile Centre is a Qualsafe approved centre for course delivery.
The course covers the following areas:
- Primary survey
- CPR / Safe use of an AED (defibrillator)
- Recovery position
- External bleeding
- Shock / Seizures
Delegates are advised to wear comfortable clothing as you will be on the floor practicing CPR, body check & recovery position. Please do not wear a skirt/dress.
Accreditation & Reward
Following successful completion, delegates will be awarded a certificate accredited by Qualsafe.
