Course Overview:

This qualification aims to provide learners with the skills needed to work within a team leader role. The programme develops the skills and knowledge of those seeking to move up a Team Leader role. This qualification was developed by the Institute of Leadership & Management and meets the needs of all types of businesses.

Candidate Suitability:

Ideal for learners who have team leading responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. It’s particularly suited to team leaders seeking to make the transition from working in a team to being the Team Leader.

Course Outline:

This 3 day programme allows learners to gain valuable experience in the core elements of team leading & you will be asked to complete 2 assignments as part of the course. The course will look at the following areas:

Course Delivery:

This programme is delivered using a range of taught sessions, group and individual activities and assessment. Once registered, you will be granted ‘Studying Membership’ status within the Institute whilst you undertake your programme. The programme provided a blended learning environment where candidates will develop the knowledge they need to become competent Team Leaders.

Course Assessment:

Learners are asked to complete 2 assignments. One-to-one support for completion of the assignments are available throughout the programme. The assignments are designed to allow learners to demonstrate their understanding of and ability to apply the topics covered. These assignments will be verified by the awarding organisation through external moderation.

Progression Opportunities:

Candidates who achieve the Level 2 qualification can progress to the Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management.

Duration:

This programme is run over 3 days. It can also be designed and delivered on a bespoke, in company basis.

Costs and Funding:

This course is available on a commercial basis to all businesses. Funding may be available for certain organisations. The Centre will be able to advise.
