Course Overview:

The ILM Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Management is ideal for individuals looking to take their first step into line management and for those who already have some management responsibilities. This combined knowledge and competency based qualification will build and develop new skills to enhance their management career. The NVQ gives learners the opportunity to develop the core competences needed by first line managers in today’s dynamic business world.

Candidate Suitability:

It is suitable for people who have just begun a management role or who have both the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills in their job role.

Course Outline:

This competence based qualification is made up of individual units that create a fully accredited programme. Candidates are required to complete at units from a list of to meet the criteria for achievement, collecting ‘credits’ for each unit they complete. There are 5 mandatory units that all learners must complete during the programme.

Minimum of 31 credits from Group 1

Minimum 17 credits from Group 2

Maximum 7 credits from Group 3.

Minimum 41 credits at Level 3

Course Delivery:

This programme is delivered using a range of taught sessions and assessment. The Centre’s assessment team will deliver the majority of this programme on client site. Occasional attendance at the Centre may be required. The programme will be delivered by industry specialists, approved by the awarding organisation (ILM).Once registered, you will be granted ‘Studying Membership’ status within the Institute whilst you undertake your programme.

Course Assessment:

Candidates will produce a portfolio of evidence (coursework) throughout the learning programme. This portfolio will be used to assess the learner’s competence and will be verified by the awarding organisation through external moderation.

Progression Opportunities:

Candidates who achieve the Level 3 qualification can progress to Level 4 Management qualifications, if their job role is sufficiently challenging and varied to meet the unit requirements.

Duration:

This programme must demonstrate competence over a sufficient period of time which can be within 18-24 months

Costs and Funding:

This course is available on a commercial basis to all businesses. Funding may be available for certain organisations. The Centre will be able to advise.
