Traineeships are an opportunity to gain real work experience, job skills and improve your English and maths. It includes a high-quality work experience placement, work preparation training and English and maths if required.
Trainees will travel to the Textile Centre of Excellence for the first 3 weeks to complete employability skills to prepare you for your work placement.

VACANCY DETAIL:
Weaving Shed Operative Traineeship
Initially the candidate would undertake basic labouring jobs around the weaving shed at the same time as receiving basic training in weaving a knotting. Suitable person would be employer and developed into multi skilled operative in weaving and knotting
Duties include:
- Cleaning Looms
- Learning basic weaving
- Learning basic knotting
Additional details is that night shift is potentially available after training.
Other key details is that you need to know about is it’s a noisy area, hearing protection and safety shoes is compulsory
