WHO WE ARE
The national Fashion and Textile Group Training Association (GTA) was launched in April 2013 to put companies in the lead for developing the skills of the workforce across the GTA footprint.
The GTA is an industry-owned operation, based at the Textile Centre of Excellence in Huddersfield.
The GTA aims to:
- Create stronger links with sector bodies, skills councils, training providers and major national sector organisations;
- Improve the image of the sector to young people and support apprenticeship recruitment;
- Provide funding and access to financial support for fashion and textile businesses across England
WHAT WE DO
We are here to help make access to funding for training and skills simpler – taking the headache out of paperwork and guiding you through the maze of information and terminology information.
We can tell you what funding is on offer across all training and education options.
The F&T GTA :-
- Provides a single point of contact for anything relating to skills in the industry;
- Aims to increase demand for apprenticeship training across the sector;
- Aims to increase demand for apprenticeship training across the sector;
- Drives up employer engagement and raises awareness of the training and skills provision available in the F&T footprint;
- Accesses funding to support company engagement in skills and workforce development.
