BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Working in an office in an administrative capacity is varied. Job roles could include: Business Support Officer/Assistant; Data Input; Administration Assistant; Clerical Officer.
The business administration role covers a variety of duties such as being responsible for creating and keying in business documents such as letters, long manuscripts and minutes of meetings, managing diaries, arranging travel, and helping with the organisation of meetings and events. Duties could also include mail handling, making/receiving telephone calls, using office equipment, filing (paper based and electronic), and dealing with visitors/reception work.
At a more advanced level, they will need to develop an understanding of complex administrative functions and activities and have the ability to carry out a comprehensive range of non-routine administrative tasks in a senior or supervisory role.
