Digital & Screen Print Apprentice

Have you ever wondered how the name & numbers are produced on a football top, how the large banners outside your old school are produced or how the design on your favourite t-shirt is produced? Would you like to learn how to do that and other designs?

We have an exciting career opportunity within our Digital & Screen Print departments and are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual who is eager to learn. This opportunity will consist of ‘on the job’ training using heat press machines, manual and automatic screen printing machines, branding garments such as t-shirts, trousers, caps etc., with various logos/designs. You will be part of a small team and will receive 1-1 training by time served, highly skilled digital printers.

The Position

In this role, you will be trained to the highest standard to gain skills to utilise software to produce designs and apply to textiles using specialised machinery in an efficient manner to meet production goals and to also ensure highest quality standards in every aspect of your work.

Our apprenticeship programme is a 1 year scheme with a stepped pay grade through the term and a guaranteed permanent position upon successful completion of the qualification and training. Further career prospects and additional training is also available. We have a structured personalised training schedule to allow you to complete the NVQ modules during working hours instead of your own time and regular visits from the training service assessor.

The initial qualification to gain will be a Level 2 Certificate in Manufacturing Sewn Products. Starting pay is £4.00 per hour

The Person

Ideally, you should hold a C grade (or equivalent) in Maths & English, be a team player but also able to work on own initiative, take direction in all best practices for the training and have the drive to succeed. If this is you and you have a keen eye to detail, self-motivated, committed to producing work to the highest standard and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, then we want to hear from you.
