The NEBOSH National General Certificate is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK. Over 175,000 individuals have gained the qualification since it was launched.
This course is specifically aimed at those with significant responsibility for health, safety and welfare within an organisation. Typically, managers, supervisors, safety co-ordinators attend this programme. The certificate helps them manage risks effectively.
Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview and is a sound basis for further professional study. The programme focusses considerable time on understanding the implications of safety laws and the practical work associated with effective safety management processes.
While the programme does not have an official entry criteria, we strongly advise that candidates considering this programme undertake a short initial assessment check to assist with programme suitability.
The course is focussed and in-depth, requiring candidates to undertake elements of self-directed study and homework to achieve the highest grades possible.

This programme is a mix of blended learning provision, taking into account the high degree of taught, classroom based application with practical workplace activities. The programme will test the knowledge of learners under exam conditions.
This course is delivered by qualified and approved safety professionals with specific industry experience. Candidates will undertake home study.
A detailed course textbook is supplied as part of the course fee.
Assessment & Examination:
NGC1 and GC2 are assessed by a written examination. Unit GC3 is assessed by practical examination carried out in the candidate’s workplace. Candidates will be awarded a unit certificate for each unit passed. Once a candidate has successfully completes all three units (NGC1, GC2 and GC3), the overall qualification certificate will be issued.

Course 2 – Weekly course running on a Wednesday, 9am – 4.30pm. Starting on Wednesday 5th September and running on the 12th, 19th, 26th September, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st October, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th November with the exams on Wednesday 5th December 2018.
